Learning CommunityPaparimu School promotes high levels of self-esteem in students. The Board of Trustees encourages and provides support for staff development and invites parents to visit the school on a regular basis. At Paparimu School we encourage children to reach their full potential and to be self-motivated and enthusiastic about learning. The community are encouraged to use school facilities and parents are offered a range of adult classes in popular subjects, such as computing.
Our parents are involved in classroom and school wide activities, and by supporting learning activities strengthen the link between home and school. This link is recognised by Paparimu parents as essential to the learning and high standards of behaviour we experience at Paparimu School. The community is also involved in a number of other activities and events throughout the year. The School is the focus of our community and offers a number of local activities. The school and adjacent facilities host Dances, Tennis, Social Welfare Group, Hall Committee, Possum Hunt, Calf Club, Motorbike Trail Ride and Quiz evenings. The School is used by the community and the wider public as a place to meet and share the spirit of cooperation and learning.
