Paparimu School is staffed by dedicated teachers and support personnel who work as a team to ensure the best possible learning out comes for all children enrolled at our school.
We have developed an administration system that meets the diverse needs of our students while providing a safe and dynamic place to grow.
The Board of Trustees provides a well resourced school and meets at least ten times each year to monitor the schools performance, review policies of the school and receive reports.
The Staff: The Principal, Mike Pettit, has a diverse teaching background, which includes experience in large city schools and more recently in rural schools as a principal.
Our Junior room teacher, Audrey Cummings, has a reputation as a dynamic and talented teacher. She was nominated for an excellence award by her peers and is a reading recovery trained teacher.
Our middle room teacher, Vathene Naidoo has been teaching for nearly twenty years in South African Schools. She was a senior teacher in her last school and runs a full and rich learning environment.
Gill Birchall teaches in our senior room which goes up to Year 8. She brings a wealth of experience in both large and small schools to the position.
Other staff who support learning and handle other duties around the school are: our administration support officer, Michelle Rigby and special needs support person, Jodi Hermond.
